The Lambi Fund of Haiti 2010 T-shirt Design Contest

The Lambi Fund of Haiti is looking for an official 2010 t-shirt design! Over the past 15 years, Lambi Fund has funded over 160 projects, partnered with countless rural organizations and impacted the lives of over 1.2 million individuals in rural Haiti. To commemorate our achievements, we are inviting our friends to put their creative abilities and talents to use by designing a "Tee for Lambi!" The winning t-shirt will be available for sale in our CafePress shop, and ALL proceeds from the sales of your t-shirt will benefit the Lambi Fund of Haiti.

Designs for all Lambi Fund t-shirts can be submitted at ateeforlambi@lambifund.org by November 5, 2009. The top five designs will then be selected by Lambi Fund and posted online at www.lambifund.org for the public to vote on. Voting will close on November 13, 2009.

The top design as determined by popular vote will be produced by Café Press and available for purchase through the Lambi Fund Store and available in men's and women's organic t-shirts. All proceeds from these sales will benefit Lambi Fund of Haiti programs like locally led grain mills, micro-credit enterprises, grassroots reforestation and sustainable fishing.

The winner will receive credit to purchase the winning design on a variety of apparel and a gift certificate redeemable in the Lambi Fund Gift Catalog — meaning when you win, our Haitian partners do, too!

Who is The Lambi Fund of Haiti? Lambi Fund works in partnership with rural grassroots peasant organizations to support economic justice, democracy and sustainable development in Haiti. Lambi Fund's mission is to assist the popular, democratic movement in Haiti. Lambi Fund provides financial resources, training and technical assistance to peasant-led community organizations that promote the social and economic empowerment of the Haitian people. Because our support is applied at the grassroots level through democratically functioning peasant organizations, it has a long lasting impact on the economic self-sufficiency of communities in rural Haiti.

Design Guidelines:

  1. Your design should be inspired by the Lambi Fund of Haiti, regarding either our overarching mission and ideals or a specific project or program we participate in that interests you! To learn more about our work in Haiti, or for inspiration, click here.
  2. Your design must include the words "Lambi Fund of Haiti."
  3. You can choose to incorporate the existing Lambi Logo, but feel free to create your own!
  4. You may submit as many as three separate entries.
  5. Your t-shirt design must be your own work (sorry, no clip art!). By submitting your design, you are confirming it does not contain copyrighted material or work done by others.
  6. We're looking for something fun and original… something that even Angelina Jolie would wear!

Bonus points if your design can educate the public as to our cause just by wearing the t-shirt!

Design Specifications:;

  1. Design must be in JPG or PNG file format. Designs can be no larger than 10 inches wide by 10 inches tall in size at 200 DPI (dots per inch).
  2. Your design should contain no more than five colors.
  3. Template — Right-click here, choose "Save File/Target As…"
  4. Please design your submission for the front of a t-shirt.
  5. Winning shirts will be featured on an organic, white t-shirt.

Submission Agreement:

  1. Participants must be 18 years or older by November 5, 2009 to claim work the as their own. Designs by minors may be submitted with the approval of/by a parent or legal guardian.
  2. All submitted designs become property of the Lambi Fund of Haiti.
  3. Lambi Fund of Haiti will have all rights to winning designs. By participating in this contest you agree that if your design wins, it can be used as a Lambi Fund of Haiti t-shirt or on other promotional items.
  4. We reserve the right to make adjustments to the winning designs.
  5. Entries will be judged by three staff members of the Lambi Fund of Haiti. The public will vote online for the winning design.
  6. All designs must be submitted by 11:59pm Mountain Standard Time on November 5th, 2009.

OFFICIAL RULES

  1. ELIBILITY:
    • Participants must be 18 years or older by November 1, 2009. Designs by minors may be submitted by a parent or legal guardian.
    • All submitted designs become the property of The Lambi Fund of Haiti.
    • The Lambi Fund of Haiti will have all rights to the winning design. By emailing us your submission, you agree that your design can by used by The Lambi Fund in any way, including on t-shirts or other promotional items.
    • The Lambi Fund reserves the right to make changes to the winning design.
    • Winners grant the Lambi Fund of Haiti to use their names for promotional purposes in any media including print, TV, radio, and online, without time or geographic limitations.
    • By submitting a t-shirt design you are agreeing to all contest rules.
    • Participants from any and all places across the globe are welcome to participate!
  2. TIMING:
    • The contest begins at 12:00 a.m. Mountain Time on October 5th, 2009 and ends at 11:59 PM Mountain Standard Time on November 5th, 2009. Submissions will be judged by Lambi Fund and the top five designs posted online for voting by November 9th. Public voting on designs will close at 11:59 PM Mountain Standard Time on November 13th, 2009. All winning designs will be announced by November 20th, 2009.
  3. HOW TO ENTER:
    • Please save t-shirt designs in either JPG or PNG file formats. All submissions must be sent by email to teeforlambi@lambifund.org. Please include your full name, phone number, and address in the email. You are welcome to submit up to three designs.
  4. WINNER NOTIFICATIONS:
    • The winner will be notified by telephone or email.
    • The winners must comply with all regulations set forth in these Official Rules. Winning fully depends upon meeting these terms.

    • By submitting a design by email, all participants agree to release the Lambi Fund of Haiti from any and all liability, loss, harm, damage, cost or expense which may result from participating in this contest.
